Jason Ronald Balaam january 24 1973 scarbourgh,Ontario although i have lived my entire life on vancouver island.I live in Fernwood where i love to paint paint ,ride my skateboard and spend time with two daughters

I have been painting snce i was about 13 years old when i thought to my self that becoming a painter would be a good career choice I figured there couldn't be that many painters out there.Well over twenty years later I am still painting sometimes it was in a studio sometimes it was a leaky shed candle light moon light and sunlight by any light i kept painting.I never stop painting even away from the canvas,everything inspires me to light in puddle of water ,the funny color of the old ladies hats at the bus stop.My final art teacher in highschool Harry Stanbridge taught me to push a piece right to its limits many times i have pushed it right off the cliff so to speak but through trials and errors i feel i have found just the right place to push.these pieces you are viewing on this site are all new this year as after i painted the piece entitled "the peacock#1" it completly changed the level of my paintings and made my previous work unable to fit in with this portfolio.
