Elizabeth Tyler

Born 1946 in Leamington Spa, England, Elizabeth Tyler now lives and works partly in southern Sweden, partly on a small yacht somewhere in the Mediterranean. She has been a professional artist for four decades and exhibits her artworks regularly at galleries and art museums in Sweden, Denmark and Finland. She is the author of Akvarelbogen (The watercolour book) published by Gyldendals publishing house in Copenhagen. She also wrote the e-book "Watercolour in Detail" which is sold in 20 countries. Her DVD "Realistic painting with acrylics" is now translated into four languages in 10 countries. In 2010 she produced the video on DVD "Watercolour Realism" for Pulsar Productions, Australia. Elizabeth Tyler has received many awards and prizes for her work and is represented in numerous public and private collections in Europe and the USA. She often finds her subject matter in a small area of a stony beach and the borderline between the sea and the shore is a symbolic and important source of inspiration for her. She divides her time between painting with acrylics, watercolour painting and printmaking (etching engraving and lithography)
