The Dutch Fine Art Photographer Léon Leijdekkers (Zierikzee, The Netherlands 1962) is known for his monochrome land- and seascapes. The atmosphere in his images, created through his use of long exposure technique, forms a testimony of his emotional relationship with the landscape and especially the sea. The absence of humans strengthens the feeling of solitude even more and introduces the beholder to a world where timeless contemplation prevails.
During his lifelong journey into photography Léon still explores different photographic techniques and subject-matter. His land and seascape images are on display in exhibitions all over Europe.
