Andy Butler

I used a drawing board for 20 years as draughtsman & engineering designer which helped develop my detailed style. I've painted for pleasure since I was at school. I've always had an interest in cars and motoring and my love of architecture has developed over the years. These interests came together about 15 years ago when I started taking commissions and I haven't stopped since.
I'm currently constructing a new website which should be running before Christmas so please be patient.

My love of drawing as a child led me to an engineering apprenticeship with a career in a drawing office. When CAD was introduced I embraced the new technology to begin with but eventually I realised it wasn't fulfilling me and I looked for a new direction in project engineering then project planning. This paid the bills but again I found myself unhappy until I finally said goodbye to the industry a few years ago.
I now exhibit regularly with the Folkestone Art Society and East Kent Art Society
