Adelina Pinzari

Adelina, 24 years old, Visual Artist. Raised in a post-Soviet country, from as far back as she can remember, Adelina found refuge in colors, shapes, and lines that came to life under her hands. Her childhood was marked by challenges and obstacles, with separated parents and an environment often hostile to her artistic dreams.

During her first ten years, Adelina lived in a few square meters with her grandmother, a strict woman who neither understood nor appreciated her granddaughter's passion for art, dismissing it as "nonsense." Her grandmother forbade her from attending art classes at school, telling her she wasn’t capable. But Adelina, determined and resilient, wasn’t discouraged. Every day, she would sneak out to attend those beloved classes, finding in those classrooms a refuge and an opportunity to express herself.

Her dedication paid off when, at the age of ten, Adelina won her first art competition. This success gave her the strength to keep going, even when new challenges arose as she moved to live with her mother. Though her mother worked hard to support the family, she couldn’t dedicate much time to Adelina’s artistic growth, but she always tried to encourage her efforts.
