Adele Fouche

My obsession with light as an artist has to do with that light reflects more than what we see. It illuminates not only the colour and form with which we love to play, but also the true essence of our being. Every shift we make in consciousness, be it in a metaphysical or moral sense, ignites us and this inner light is then reflected in everything we do. As we create we use this beautiful energy to form and sculpt life around us. Energy is consistent - the lightness of being with which we create is always reflected back at us.
As an artist my enjoyment is therefore twofold: in the painting of the work and the experience of the response from the viewer – this dialogue is to me what makes the work, any creative expression valid and interesting.
