Adeviye Endirlik

Born in Kayseri, Turkey in 1980, Adeviye Endirlik studied in Ankara and in İstanbul, lived and worked in various cities like St. Petersburg, London and Lisbon. As a painter, amateur musician and a good music listener it’s always possible to see a continuous dialogue between visual and musical language in her paintings.
Her approach to painting process is like Kung-Fu, making love, dance and rituels
In her work, the act of painting creates meaning and not the other way around. Gestural strokes, rhythm and intensity enliven wıth fields rich in colors. Her painting is spontaneous and part of a dynamic and spirited abstraction. Natural, genuine, instinctive and intuitive. She relies on our desires for beauty, poetics and seduction. Her artwork has always been grounded in pleasure and aesthetics.
The main theme of her work is appearances and disappearances of love, truth, eternity, sexuality, desire and romance. Furthermore, any discovery (trip or meeting) is a source of inspiration for her.

With her work, she aims to awaken in the viewer a call to gaiety and a warm and genuine dreaminess.
