Kristina Agelskaya is an artist born in Cheboksary, Russia. Today she lives and works in Moscow. Kristina makes an abstract expressionist paintings, mostly using canvas, acrylic and oil pastel.
Having academical background in interior design she is now putting her skills in art. Her first full time job was a stained glass artist.
Kristina Agelskaya paintings become never ending selfgrowth. Improvisation, forms searching and color combination are a core of her works. They are done in many layers. Artist adds them, removes and adds again till her personal reaction to the way they mix and live together is completely satisfied. Usually it’s uncontrollable action and the direction is unknown, but surely, felt. Random marks and strokes, perfectly matched colors tells us the story of unconditional passion the russian artist has to her work.
Kristina finds the inspiration in nature, people and picks up ideas from everyday life. The greatest part of being artist for her is transforming feelings into something physical, touchable. She is searching for strong emotional connection between her canvases and spectators. When this magic happens her work is done.
