I am a Visual Artist-researcher based in Mumbai, India.
I create art as a lifelong exploration of visual perception, cognition, experience and existence. I strive to understand it through experimental surreal dialogue, anthropomorphism and Pareidolia. I like to experiment with the visual significance and appearance of every form of matter in existence.
Recently, I have been obsessed with the Toroidal shape and it feels like there's a hidden code in there. And I am trying to decode this through human and plant morphology. It feels as if everything is relatable and synchronic in some way. Since my college years I have explored the nature of thought and visual perception and it still shows up in my art process. The concept of consciousness and how the collective unconscious permeates the life on the planet (panpsychism) also intrigues me.
Alongside traditional and digital media, I work in fiber, reclaimed paper, metal. The stone-like surface of paper clay post drying reminisces the primordial aura of ancient, prehistoric art/tribal art which I am fond of.
