Alexandre De La Rovarie

I am an amateur artist that started just 3 years ago and approaching 50, seems interesting to start something as fun and daunting as painting at such an interesting time in life. It can certainly be frustrating at times, not having any formal training, but also allows me to be unencumbered by any rules. I have received feedback from my peers and artists far above my level that my approach to abstract drawing and use of pastel color is truly unique which I take as a tremendous compliment.

My art is a source of great pleasure for me and despite the many blessings in my life, I tend to make work on the darker side. I get inspiration from the cinematography that delivers on brilliant colors and somber moods. I think that the true magic of Abstract Art is how different people interpret the same piece according to their feelings and experiences...simply magic!
