Alba Vila Pons

I was born in Manresa, near Barcelona, where I graduated in fine arts at the University of Barcelona. I have been art teacher there since 2007, where I investigate body awareness and perception in the creative process.
My love for the sea has made me particularly sensitive to the protection and sustainability of marine ecosystems. So that, technically, my research focuses on experimenting with water-soluble oil and solvent-free materials to promote a healthier, greener and more sustainable society.
My passion for music, movement and color also allowed me to create interdisciplinary performances, with musicians and poets. I have performed at events like weddings and festivals, or events for solidarity purposes.

Currently I have my work studio near Barcelona, but since 2014 I have also exhibited my works in France (Reunion Island) and in Mauritius, tropical countries which made me discover new colours which allowed me to create my most recent works
