I am a Hispanic-Peruvian visual artist. I paint with the same instinct and necessity with which fish seek to return to the sea. Image, color, form, space and matter give meaning to my life, and painting is my way of engaging with existence and expressing gratitude through the act of making art.
Aldo GuRu studied Drawing and Painting at the Fine Arts School of Trujillo, Peru, where he received a solid academic training in drawing and painting, with a focus on portraiture, the human figure, still life and landscape. His education emphasized academic drawing across different formats and materials, strengthening his skills in observation, proportion and composition. During this period, he developed a disciplined and material-conscious approach to painting, working primarily with acrylic and oil techniques.
His artistic formation is complemented by a background in Industrial Engineering at the National University of Trujillo, followed by a Master’s degree in E-Logistics and Supply Chain Management from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia in Spain. This dual path —artistic and technical— has shaped a practice that balances intuition with structure, and expressive freedom with conceptual clarity. Over time, his focus has increasingly converged on painting and visual art as his central field of exploration and production.
