Aleksandra Wolter

I'm an architect and a visual artist, based in Poland. Inspired by 19th century pictorialists I mostly use historical and alternative photographic processes as a means of self expression.

In my work I'm focusing on the interferences between architecture and landscape, but also on human impact on the environment and landscape.
My work can be found in the collection of The National Museum in Gdańsk (Poland) and in private collections.

I'm a grant holder of the 2017 Scholarship for Visual Artists of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage (Poland) and 2016 Scholarship for Artists of the Marshall of Pomeranian Voivodeship (Poland).

In 2011 I grounded a foundation called "Antykwariat Fotograficzny" for preserving historical and alternative photographic techniques.
I'm giving lectures and workshops at schools of photography and fine arts.
