Alexandre Semenov

Alexander Semenov was born in Moscow in 1937 and graduated from the Moscow Art and Design Institute Strogonov.
He has worked in the fields of industrial and interior design as well as visual arts. His projects involve various techniques and material such as metal, glass and ceramics, wood, enamels and jewelry.
In 1991, he immigrated to Canada.
Traditions of Russian avant-garde, use of non-standard materials, development of kimatic objects and symbolic sign language have been central to the creative activities of this artist.
Alexandre Semenov has participated in numerous exhibitions, artistic competitions and symposiums in Russia, the Baltic States, Poland, Czechoslovakia, France and Canada.
His works can in the Museum of Decorative Arts (Moscow), the Museum of Fine Arts (Legniza, Poland) and in private collections in Paris (France), Knokke (Belgium) and in the USA
