As a girl growing up in Santa Fe, Argentina, Alina Añon was always drawing and painting. At eighteen, she moved to Buenos Aires where she obtained a degree in Graphic Design. Although she enjoyed her career, what she loved were movies. In her early twenties, she learned about the emerging industry of Visual Effects which was advancing rapidly with the success of movies like Blade Runner and Star Wars. At that moment, she knew she wanted to be a visual effects artist in the film industry.

At twenty-five Alina left Argentina and moved to the United States. After obtaining a degree in Visual Effects, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue her dream of working in the film industry. Alina started her film career as an apprentice under several of the industry’s top visual effects artists.
