Alpaslan Ucar

Born in 1971. Graduated from Gazi University, Ankara, Turkey in BFA between 1989 and 1993. Attended Master`s Programme at Hacettepe University Faculty of Fine Arts Department in Ankara between 1993 and 1995. Awarded and sent to the U.S. between 1995 and 1998 in order to get his Master`s degree in Painting at Rochester Institute of Technology, School of Art & Design in Rochester, New York. Between 2000 and 2003 Alpaslan UÇAR worked as a Research Assistant at Abant Izzet BAYSAL University, Department of Art Education, Bolu, Turkey. Between 2005 and 2006, Alpaslan UCAR was sent to Accademia di Belle Arti, L`Aquila, Rome, Italy for his PhD study. UCAR was awarded his PhD in 2007 from Marmara University.
Alpaslan UCAR so far has had 11 solo shoe design, painting and sculpture exhibits abroad mainly in the US, Italy, the Czech Republic and Portugal and 8 solo shows in Turkey. Moreover, he has participated in more than 150 juried art competitions and exhibitions. His articles on art have been published in art magazines and several congress books as well.
