Maria Argyrakopoulou

Maria Argyrakopoulou was born and lives in Athens.
At first a mathematician, later on a visual artist.
She has started painting in oil, next she has used water colours for several years and since 2009 she has been mainly using acrylics.
So some series of works have been created, such as: Portraits, Interiors, Nudes, Windows, Painting the painter, Reflections, Landscapes, Shipyard, Moments.....
Distinction: "Toile d'or 2012" (Federation de la Culture Francaise)

"Apopsis Centre for letters and arts": Painting, under George Rorris (1996-2001), Athens.
"Peratinos Museum": Sculpture courses, under Evdokia Papouli (2009-11), Athens and Paros island.
"Ergastiri": Art history seminars, under P.Tsavalos (2002-09), Athens.
She also has attended lessons in ceramic art for 2 years, under Vera Siaterli.
