Ana Amorim

I was born in Mozambique, spend my youth in the north of Portugal and I'm living in Lisbon for more then 20 years.
I use photography since I was 14, it was the language I found that I can identify myself with.
My photography tries to translate an organic exploration of my imagination, life experiences and family history. I like to embrace the metamorphic journeys in my life. A bold connection between the different layers that help define my identity. In my work of fine art photography I might include collage, painting and mix-media.

I studied New technologies of Communication at Aveiro's University
A few years later studied Professional photography at the Portuguese Institute of Photography in Lisbon
