Anand Sreenivasan

I am Anand Sreenivasan, a self-taught artist from India, specializing in watercolors. My journey with art has been deeply personal, and after a long hiatus, I’ve returned to painting with renewed passion. Now, I dedicate myself to capturing the beauty of the world around me through light, color, and texture.

My artistic style blends impressionism and realism, where light plays a central role in creating mood and depth. Watercolors allow me to explore the fluidity of emotions and bring life to subjects like cityscapes, landscapes, seascapes, nature, and florals.

For me, painting is a way of storytelling—expressing the interplay between light and shadow, and the emotions they evoke. My work seeks to capture not just what we see, but how we feel in those fleeting moments.

I work both in my studio and en plein air, painting almost every day to deepen my connection with the medium. My process is rooted in observation and spontaneity, allowing the watercolor medium to guide my creative journey.
