Dear art lovers!

My name is Anastasia Akunina, I am a Russian artist living in Moscow and I am happy to see you at my artpage. I hope you will find here lots of positive emotions and inspiration.

I have been painting the whole my life since I remember myself. However, my parents never considered painting as something serious, so under their pressure I studied medicine and became a doctor, and even worked in a hospital for some time, but deep in my soul I did not betray my sincere passion, I kept learning and painting every single moment I could.

My main themes are women's portraits, flowers, landscapes and animals. People say my paintings are bright and colorful with a lot of light and joy. I think it is because I try to capture the positive side of our life – the beauty of nature, harmony of a woman’s body with its curves and lines, kindness and allegiance of our pets, power and strong character of the wild animals.

I do believe that we are all creators of our lives, because we are what we focus on.
