Andy Firth

Drawing upon his time living in Toronto, Tokyo and London today Andy works from a small cottage in one of Britain's unique garden cities. Thriving on the creative inspiration from the countryside and elements that surround him Andy produces only entirely unique works, no series nor repeats are offered. In the often overpoweringly electronic world we inhabit, Andy rigorously minimizes his social media dealings to focus upon creation without disruption.

Educated at Cardiff University in the Welsh capitol and and then at Cambridge University in Cambridge, England, Andy had an enhanced and varied education. This practical foundation culminated in a Doctorate from Cambridge University focused on the modelling of complex mulit dimensional surfaces, such as those whose form is driven by the flow and turbulence of air and water. Today, power, scale, strength and the elements have become a feature of Andy's challenging work.

Street display has long been a focus of Andy's artwork.
He brings pieces to the community without warning or explanation, leaving the story to the viewer's imagination and interpretation. Andy believes that public art allows all, from young to old, art lover or skeptic, to appreciate and critique artwork broadening their appreciation of all art while enlivening their and the community's spirit.
