Angela Mulligan

When I work with paints I am reminded what I am most passionate about in life. Colour, shapes and movement are all around me in everything I do. Bold and bright use of colours is my way to express my emotions and to project the energy I feel when I paint. My latest work reflects this.Its wasnt intentional but I am discovering a pattern is emerging throughout my work. I love to work with various mediums, oils, acrylics and matter what the subject is I feel I have achieved a good result when the piece oozes with colour and energy.My work is an assortment of my memories and moments I have encountered so far. While I use a variety of materials and processes in each project my methodology is consistent. I deliberately leave the faces blank in some of my figurative work to allow the viewer to imagine who they want the characters to be.Thus like a theatrical event the viewer is invited to embark on the journey and draw their own conclusions.Welcome to my world I hope you enjoy them!!!
