Angela Vinci

"Angela Vinci was born in Catania, where she lives and works. Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts (Painting) develops an artistic pictorial language that leads to a realistic-looking expression of reality focused on the human gure, especially among children. 

The originality and the curation of her artwork, become an expression of herself and her emotions, leading her in a real emotional painting, represented by the facial expression of her protagonists. The “face” is the true actor of her painting. Expressive faces, denses, psychologicals, often tragics and hermetics, surrounded by small alienating elements. 

The subjects of her artwork are the result of an introspective research, an exploration of the unconscious, which emerges as emblems of a difficult life, confused, obscure and often tragic. Although with dense brushstrokes and bright colors she manages to wrap her artwork with a veil of obscurity, the darkside of our period. The children, innocent victims, forgotten and abandoned in these dark seabed are victims of a cruel nature that leaves them alone in a world inhospitable, hopeless, no light, no heat".
