Ania Irimies

Painting is an intimate journal, a way to understand the world and to act upon it, with a gesture, significance, a statement. Painting is active participation. Every impression, any experience they find an echo in the impulse of the pictorial gesture. It is the recreation of a real moment with the addition of ”self”, with the sign of participation. For me, painting is existential confirmation, participation in moments and miracles that later contain me in the painting.

Painting is a journey without destination through the world and time. It has no destination because there is no purpose, just process, living, joy or pain. It is the journey in which, in order not to lose yourself, you must leave a sign.
