My body of work is a love letter to the ocean and landscape of Atlantic Canada. I live in Nova Scotia, Canada, where the ocean is always nearby. I live for summer days spent on the beach with my family, swimming in gentle surf, feeling the ocean breeze and salt air on my skin. There's nothing quite like it. For me, being in or near the ocean is a spiritual experience. It cleanses and invigorates my soul and helps me reconnect with myself and nature. When I am not near the ocean, I miss it dearly. I am a career psychologist with an evolving passion for art. I consider myself both a self- and eclectically-taught artist. I have always loved drawing and making art, and sketching was one of my favourite activities as a child and teen. I did not attend Art School, but since falling in love with painting during the pandemic, I have pieced together my own Art Education through online and in-person classes. My teachers have included Ian Roberts, Jim Musil, and Jo-Ann Muise.
