Artist Biography
A native Angeleno with a lifelong love of art, Anne Mansour is a multidisciplinary artist who works across several mediums, including oil and watercolor, mixed media, pastels, and printmaking. Her work explores the ephemeral qualities of light, nature, and the "spaces in between." A collaborative dialogue between various areas of fine art, Anne focuses heavily on still life paintings and en plein air to capture the interplay between light and shadow in natural settings. Anne's palette is known for luminous, saturated colors inspired by the golden light of Southern California. This inspiration she translates into vibrant hues on the canvas.
Mansour uses layering to create depth and texture, frequently exploring the
"negative space" around her focal points.
Anne's artistic journey is marked by exhibitions in her native California and abroad.
Her work has been included in two exhibitions at Bermudez Projects "Under Sapphire Skies” and “Harbingers of Prophecy's Tomorrow."
She has also been a featured artist at the historic Robinson Gardens, where her paintings and floral-inspired watercolors were showcased as part of their celebrated garden tours. Her work is currently exhibited in the Aarnun Gallery, Pasadena.
