Anne Noble-Partridge

Originally from the West Country, I have lived and worked in London for the ten years. Since graduating in 1997 I have exhibited regularly in the UK and internationally, both in Europe and America, working with artists from Poland, Holland, Norway and Brazil.

I am currently Co-Director of London Drawing and regularly tutor creative life drawing workshops at Tate Modern and Battersea Arts Centre. Clients include The V&A, The Design Museum, Tate Britain, The British Museum and The Royal Institute of British Architects.

My work is almost exclusively figurative and has incorporated painting, drawing, photography, video and object making. The body and space is a theme which is consistently addressed, whether absent, or present, inside or outside. Light plays a major role in emphasizing these elements and is used to inject a sense of the ethereal.

During the past two years my work has returned to drawing and painting. Most recent work explores the human form using the simplicity of line and light, mixing strong colour with delicate paint quality.
