Antonio Borrillo

I am a photographer, born and bred in Italy, I moved to London in 2005.
I am particularly keen on cityscapes, landscapes, churches, animals and nature in general.

I really love black & white photography because the lack of colour helps me to enhance the dramatic nature of the subject making it immutable in contrast with colour photography where, in my opinion, the subject is more subject to change.

I also like experimenting with images manipulation to express (as a photographer) and generate (in the viewer) feelings or ideas that would be otherwise impossible to communicate with ordinary photography.

In general with my work I hope to help the viewer to
1)explore his remote lonely and gloomy side and/or to create one;
2)give voice to the unsaid.

I have been around cameras since I was 10 when I really enjoyed taking pictures of running horses.

Now, I consider photography the best mean to convey my own personal feelings to the external world.
