Irina Antonova — master of modern decorative and applied art, participant of Ukrainian, Russian, and international exhibitions.
She was born on May 21, 1960, in Cheremkhovo (Irkutsk region, Russian Federation). When Irina turned 6, her parents and she moved to the permanent residence in Makeevka (Donetsk region, Ukraine). From childhood, Irina loved to draw people and illustrate books she read. So her children's hobby influenced her future creative life.
Since the 1989 year, Irina makes statuettes and unique sculpted paintings in a mixed technique using modeling clay, fabric, wood, acrylic, gouache, tempera, and watercolor. Each artwork is assembled from more than fifty elements. Some compositions are created based on famous literary works and films, and others represent stories of Ukrainian, Russian, and Jewish folk.
The creativity of Irina is in demand not only in Ukraine and Russia. Unique artworks spread all over the world.

In 1982, Irina Antonova graduated from the Trade College in Yenakiyevo (Ukraine) with a degree in graphic design.
The first solo exhibition “Slavic unity” of Irina Antonova was held in October-November 1995 in the N.K. Krupskaya library in Donetsk.
From 2000 to 2013, Irina Antonova has participated in events dedicated to the Day of the City of Kiev and the Independence Day of Ukraine, as well as in the annual Sorochinsky Fairs.
The second large solo exhibition of Irina Antonova “The World I Live In” was held in June-July 2002 at the Donetsk Museum of Local Lore.
In the period from 2003 to 2005, Irina Antonova's artworks decorated the walls of the exhibition hall of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Donetsk region.
In 2010, another personal exhibition of Irina Antonova was held in the Donetsk Regional People’s Association of Artists and Craftsmen “Inspiration” in honor of the anniversary of her work.
Since 2015, Irina Antonova is a participant in the trade fairs Winter and Spring Rook, Firebird in Moscow.
In 2015-2016 Creative exhibitions were held with the participation of the artist in the Central House of Artists of Moscow.
In March 2019, artworks by Irina Antonova were presented at the exhibition “Gifts” in the Gostiny Dvor of Moscow.
