Nona Dronova

About myself:
I was born in Moscow, Russia and from the childhood I loved to draw.
I graduated with honors from the Jewelry Department of the Institute of Traditional Applied Arts (formerly MSHHR).
Then I studied to become a specialist in precious stones (gemologist). I am an author of a number of jewelry collections that often were presented at prestigious exhibitions.
I used to teach Jewelry Design and was invited to judge at several jewelry international competitions.
I’m an author of 16 books about jewelry and precious stones.
In 1999, I defended my doctoral dissertation and became a professor at the University of Folk Arts in St. Petersburg.
Being engaged in science and teaching, I never stopped painting.
In 2002, I became a member of the of Russian Arts society.
My works are kept in private collections in Italy, USA. China, Germany.
I always had passion for antique Chinese porcelain, ancient bronze and jade.
I have collected a number of precious items and written books on the topic.
Since 2019, I have decided to devote myself completely to painting.
I like to make paintings of my garden, it is always so different.
I love large canvas size and strive for decorativeness.

Nona has more than 17 exhibitions on her account, including 5 personal ones.

Artist Nona Dronova successfully participates in the creation of designer and jewelry collections.
Her collection of jewelry design was presented at the international
fairs such as: Bazelword (Basel, 2007), Junwex( Moscow 2010), Vicenzaoro First( Vicenza 2015), Junwex (Petersburg 2017,2016,2015), Midora (Leipzig 2015), Autumn Vicenza (2016), luxury & Premiere (Las Vegas 2012),), the international jewellery fair in Hong Kong (2016, 2015, 2014, 2012),fair Bangkok gems and jewelry (2013, 2010,2008).
