Arie Vanderwyst

After painting for almost all my life in a traditional realistic way, I've recently changed my style into abstracts. Because it gives you so much freedom. Freedom of style, use of colours and the whole process of creating a painting. In this process of creating it involves a more intimate relation with your work than I've ever imagined, to be honest. It's like talking to the canvas almost, asking where it wants to go, where can I take it to make this a journey worth taking. I must say, it's a whole new challenge and experience! And I love it!
