Abstreet - this is how Michele enjoys to call his abstract compositions with a street vibe. The artist works on several layers in order to obtain a texture and a visual reminiscent of painted and overpainted walls. Like surfaces where something has been torn off. Michele evokes a testimony of successive traces and signs, where a new history is constantly rewritten. Human beings and time. Abandonment and re-birth. The courage to change. The humility of being in the present moment. Leonardo Da Vinci said: "Art is never finished, only abandoned." But is there really anything ever finished? Isn't everything in movement, evolving, transforming, changing and passing by?
