Cityscapes - Bright Lights, Big City.

These paintings are part of a project, shown at Whitechapel Gallery, exploring "Creating Art from Data". I am interested in the relationship between painting and technology, and keen to explore the question; "Does Modern Life desensitise us or bring us closer together"? I'm intrigued by the transition from the sensory emotive nature of painting, to the digital... I worked with a group examining these issues with publicly available data based on Transport For London (TFL)...as I felt I could really explore new ground and value the physicality of painting, and explore London.
