Czech Album

These paintings are based on image from Old City of Prague and Cesky Krumlov which I visited in March of 2022. They are painted in my deeply personal style that incorporates unconventional composition, vivid texture, gestural painting marks, emphasized color and other features of 21st century painting, along with a solid Academic foundation and use of the Old Master’s techniques. The texture is extremely refined, with heavy impasto and many layers of transparent glazes. They are painted on fine linen with highest-grade professional paints and covered with UV-protective varnish. Edges are painted, so they can be hung without a frame. Hanging hardware is installed.
