Floral mixed media painting series

A repeating flora motif on the theme of the beauty of decay and impact of time on all things. Flowers embody the dual concepts of celebration and mourning. This mixed media series uses gold leaf, dried flowers (orchid petals), paper elements added to and cut from the surface, dried molded acrylic paint, glass beads, found objects, digitally manipulated photographs overlaid with drawing.
