From the river bank is the result of summer evenings by a watercourse, reflecting on life’s currents and events. This series emanates from heraclitan well-known quotes such as “everything flows” and “no man steps in the same river twice.” Images are depurated, geometry is created, contrasts emerge. Some elements in this series are organic, like nature. Others are rational, sharp, persuasive: dams, bridges, canals, modern architecture: men taking over wilderness, getting lost and found, searching for strategies, escaping the labryinth. We attempt to control the circulation of waters, creating space within space. Essential questions are left open: if this was a chess game, who wins? The answers are always for viewers to determine.
