Greyhounds

In Spain, many greyhounds face abuse, abandonment, and death when deemed "useless." Practices like ear-cutting to erase registration or hanging in the cruel ritual of "playing the piano" remain shockingly common. Years ago, I wished for a pair of greyhounds. That wish faded until Cinco—rescued from the infamous Vampire of Humanes, who exploited hundreds of greyhounds for their blood—came into my life. Later, he met Eevee, a racing greyhound abandoned and nearly killed. Against all odds, both survived. This artwork honors their resilience and rebirth, a testament to how forgotten dreams and the universe’s threads of love and precision create miracles.
