Isolation

I explore Childhood Trauma through Leaves. As well as Texture (Neglect) I feel the opportunity to explore the many subtleties of the theme are best expressed through this form, rather than the predictable nature of expression through an individual. They also represent my many personalities, states of mind, emotions, the fragility of my life. They reflect my struggles, the heart of me, my essence, raw, scary, beautiful - often, all at once. Leaves can also represent the ‘Cycle of Life and Death’. Buddhists proclaim, when we accept the inevitability of Death, we can begin to enjoy life, I agree unreservedly.
