Scatterlings

Scatterlings are free spirits captured on paper, canvas or wood. The word itself means wanderer, and I take inspiration of the wanderer to capture a broad abstract space for personal reflection. These draw on the Japanese / Chinese tradition of Sumi-e or ink paintings, but I extend this to abstraction and to pure in the moment gesture. They are painted on Xuan paper with ink, and on canvas with acrylics and on heavier paper using ink or acrylics. The ones on paper are sold unmounted, to permit you to decide how best to hang them. The Xuan paper ones are very delicate and should be mounted with care.
