TAR PAINTINGS | PROTEST ART

The idea come from seeing the American artist Donald Sultan using TAR in his "Disaster Paintings." Shell Oil in 2022 were using seismic blasting to explore our coastline in South Africa which is terrible for the wellbeing of our marine life. I wanted to use TAR as a protest by using a medium which is so non-friendly and ugly to make something beautiful. I then add bright acrylic paints and spray paint. I call this series "Fuck You Shell". These are original paintings on canvas and board and can be shipped internationally.
