Visions of the portrait

In this series of portraits I let each work guide me through an intuitive layered mixed media technique. From a certain point on, the accuracy of the features and the resemblance to a reference are not important and lead to a more pictorial and free phase that sometimes includes abstract elements. Each of these works tries to convey a different emotion, but all of them are visions of a portrait that also communicates firmness and determination.
