Polish philosopher Bauman believes that the Holocaust and totalitarian regimes have been misguided, but a logical consequence of modernity - and in different ways. They were the culmination of ideas of progress and purity, which, according to Bauman, were crucial for the dynamics of modernity. I try to discuss this paradigm by manipulating with pictures from times of holocaust with contemporary global brands, symbols of consumption. What makes us human?
