Abstract

In the New Illusions series I have used The Golden Ratio to create an abstract, geometric and harmonious order. The oversized New Illusions paintings where chosen by King Willem-Alexander as finalists for the Royal Awards for Modern Painting in the Netherlands, and have been exhibited in the Royal Palace Amsterdam. In my abstract paintings and objects I have been inspired by the symbolic and abstract art of Kandinsky as well as the art of Piet Mondriaan and De Stijl.
