Ana Ksamit is be almost ascetic in her artistic expression, confining to a certain decorative minimalism. Adequat, she says. But sometimes she is surprisingly dashing and daring, sumptuous and showy. She got attracted to post painterly abstraction by frequenting a circle of friends. Her round paintings exude delicacy, they are full of baroque decorativeness, but without pomp and pretentiousness. They bring to mind luxurious fabrics, finely woven with golden threads. Metallic paints turn the painting into op art. Turmoil is the series' perverse and humorous title.
