Batik art is a fascinating process. It involves layering hot wax and permanent dyes on organic fabrics, 100% cotton, silk, hemp, etc... Unlike traditional painting you work backwards layering colors. Often times errors are made in covering the new colors with wax that wasn't planned. The end results after removing the wax resist are so surprising, mistakes and all!
