Broken Series

My “Broken Series” paintings began from an idea I had to test the strength of a popular logo or an icon’s marketing. Would they still be recognizable if broken apart and turned into art? My process of creating was ignited after my breast cancer diagnosis when I realized I missed art that fed my soul – that connected my memories to a canvas; so, I started to channel the decades I spent as a graphic designer into something that I wanted to share with the world. I developed a unique way of combining technology and my use of a palette knife to bring vibrance and texture to every piece.
