Painting: Acrylic, Tempera, Spray Paint and Household on Paper. This painting is one of 25 new original works created by the artist to commemorate the Anza-Borrego Wildflower "Superbloom" 2017 which was exhibited at the Borrego Art Institute in conjunction with the annual Pottery Show. Using gold and silver bristol board as a starting point gives this body of work a unique dimension. Additionally, a great deal of texture, thick paint, glitter and "sparkly-glue" was utilized in the creation of these large 28x22" unframed works on paper, which were exhibited using no frames or glass so that the reflective desert light would not glare, but rather sparkle and shine.
