Characters of Hadar

In Haifa in Hadar you can meet people who will surprise you with their outfit. I have never seen so many bright and grotesque characters. It was as if a big Broadway show had arrived, and the actors, without changing their clothes and washing off their makeup, decided to walk around the city. This show is about the frozen time of emigrants, about Orthodox and LGBT people, Arabs and Eritreans - buffoonery. At the same time, such social diversity and freedom in approach to appearance can only be presented in a society that is free from prejudices. Where they won't mock you that you're poor and put on just any clothes, or consider you a vulgar victim of mass production, or a jet-set. Nobody cares - be whoever you are.
