Cockle Hunter Series

This collection consists of a series of large-scale paintings by New Zealand artist Kate Williamson that depict reflective moments, floating lines and mirror-like surfaces - the interplay of colour, light and people. Part of a very popular series of works based on the subject of cockle gathering, these dreamlike seascapes drift between the past and the present, searching for those precious moments of life that lies between. This has been an extremely popular series for me, with only two available original works exhibited in Artbay Gallery, Queenstown, New Zealand.
