Connection through Abstraction

All works created using alcohol ink on Yupo paper. I have always been inspired by abstract expressionism. I love the freedom of breaking out of a formulaic approach to painting and allowing the medium to take shape. You can have an idea of what you want to create, perhaps have a colour palette in mind, but once the ink hits paper, you often have to abandon your preconceived notions and allow the organic quality to unfold. This is what inspires me and my work.
